How it's calculated:

Sales Per Hour
  • This report is designed to be viewed as a visualization first.
  • The visualization presents a color-coded map of your week. Each hour is shaded on a spectrum from red to green, where red is negative and green is positive.
  • If an hour is shaded dark green, it means that hour has the highest percentage of sales among all hours of the week. If an hour is dark red, it has the lowest percentage. A softer-shade of green, yellow, or red means it falls somewhere in between the two extremes.
  • Percentages at every hour represent the proportion of all sales in the past 90 days that happened at that hour of that day.
    • For example, the percentage at Monday 10 am is the sum of all sales that happened on a Monday between 10 - 11 am divided by the total number of sales in the past 90 days.
  • The colors are reinforced by also having the exact percentage displayed on each hour.
Employee Hours per Hour
  • This report is also designed to be viewed as a visualization first. The visualization displays a color-coded map of your week, going from negative red to positive green.
  • If an hour is shaded dark green, it means it that hour has the highest percentage of employees clocked in among all hours of the week. If an hour is dark red, it has the lowest percentage of clocked-in employees.
  • Percentages at every hour of the day represent the number of employees clocked in at this hour divided by the total number of employees clocked in at every hour in the past 90 days.
  • the colors are reinforced by also having the exact percentage displayed on each hour.

Available Variations:

Employee Hours by Hour of Day

Average Staffing Per Hour Of Day
  • This chart shows how many employees, on average, are clocked in during each hour of each day. It is shaded deep red for the times when the most employees are clocked in, and deep green for the least. It distinguishes itself from "employee hours per day" in that the former report shows the percentage of staffed hours that are given to each hour of the day, while this report shows a solid number for amount of people staffing each hour.
Average Sales Volume By Hour of Day
  • This report shows the average number of transactions that happen for each hour of the day. It distinguishes itself from the default "Sales by Hour Per Day", in that the former chart shows this breakdown by a percentage of your total sales while this report shows what that percentage means in actual number of sales.
Average Sales Total by Hour of Day
  • This charts shows the average basket value for each hour of the day, based on the value of each sale that happened during this hour.
Average Sales Total Per Employee
  • This chart synthesizes information found in the average sales total chart and the average staffing chart to show you the average sales total per employee staffed during this hour. In this way, you can see if there are any hours that are overstaffed that seem imbalanced in staffing for how much sales are brought in.
Average Number of Sales Per Employee
  • This chart synthesizes information found in the average sales volume chart and the average staffing chart to show you the average number of sales per employee staffed during this hour.
